Writer: hannahr39hannahr39

Coming soon to several theaters near you, CAPA’s fourth Cinema Columbus Film Festival will offer 20-plus screenings of approximately 50 independent feature and short films from April 30-May 4.

The showcase, recently named the nation’s best film festival in USA TODAY’s 2025 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, will take place at seven sites: Drexel Theatre, Gateway Film Center, Studio 35 Cinema & Drafthouse, Grandview Theater & Drafthouse, McConnell Arts Center, the Wexner Center for the Arts and the Southern Theatre.

Cinema Columbus will open with “Down to the Felt,” shot locally and directed by Columbus filmmaker Jon Osbeck, who co-wrote the script with fellow Columbus residents Dino Tripodis and Ralph Scott. The movie will be shown at 7 p.m. April 30 at the Southern Theatre. Tickets are $11.

Tickets to most individual screenings are $10, except where otherwise noted, and go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday at cinemacolumbus.com.

Tickets also can be purchased in person at the CAPA Ticket Center, 39 E. State St., or by phone at 614-469-0939. Advance purchasing is recommended, but if supply permits, tickets may also be purchased at the door.

The full lineup for the 2025 Cinema Columbus Film Festival is available online, including special events and filmmaker appearances, at cinemacolumbus.com/schedule.
